HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colombia: Last month as the 20th Anniversary of the columbine high school shooting approached, STEM school highlands ranch joined hundreds of schools near Denver in order to close temporarily amid security concerns. The anniversary came and went smoothly, schools returned to their same routines.
But everything has changed suddenly; on Tuesday afternoon, the STEM school’s horrible and abject fears were realized when nine of its students were shot, and it was confirmed that one student of them had died and rest of them were shot. Sheriff tony spurlock of douglas country said at a news conference;
“We know two individuals walked into the STEM school, got deep inside the school and engaged students in two separate locations,”
And after the shooting , a statement was released by the Douglas county sheriff’s office by confirming that one of the nine students had been shot, an 18year old man , had died. The adult suspect was identified as Devon Erickson 18, the shariff’soffice did not release the photos of the suspect, saying that it could jeopardize the ongoing investigation.
And with extreme sadness no information is available for the other victims.
